Inspired By:

“Love and Loyalty”
This is our city from up to downtown,
We are always kind not letting our team down.
This poem is about family, love and loyalty.
WE ARE TIGERS!
We have purple hearts that are rooted in our community.
We are strong, we care and we do what we want with the ball.
We rise high, we stand tall, we go hard!!
WE ARE TIGERS!
We are proud to be ourselves every day.
We are humble, we make them tumble in every single way.
WE ARE TIGERS!
We are ALL family no matter what, we are from Cleveland, 216….

Dream By: Faranak Arab

Inspired By:
“Soaked Dreams”
Imagination is a butterfly,

fluttering in my mind.
Water is a portal,
to another place and time.

Imagination is the ocean,
flowing softly and freely.
Water is the calm,
that always speaks to me.

Imagination is a firework,
exploding in the sky.
Water is creativity,
reflecting the beautiful colors inside.

Imagination is a flower,
spreading wonder in the world.
Water is feelings,
of waves that come and go.

Imagination is a tree,
reaching toward the stars.
Water is strength,
pushing you to go far.

Imagination is hopes and dreams,
Anything is possible if you believe.
Water is energy,
No limit to what we can achieve.

Water and Imagination go hand in hand,
without one or the other we would be blank.
Water gives you life to live,
Imagination gives you a way to live it!

Feel No Thorns By: Francis Collins

The roads are with colors
red, blue and green.
You feel the soil
smooth like leaves.

You can smell the flowers,
fruit like honey,
and candy that is sweet.

that roar with pride
bees that buzz and are kind.

Kings with glory
and knights that shine
You can taste the food
of meat and veggie divine.

No extinction for dinos
No money is required
Life is happy for us.
You feel no thorns on you at all.

The Rex roar with you
and all that makes pride.

that are fast as can be,
help others,
that is my world indeed.

Inspired By:
“Untitled”

So many tears.
So many broken hearts.
All the loved ones we have lost,
But that doesn’t stop the tears.
We’ve all lost loved ones in the past,
Sometimes it happens so fast.
Anything can trigger the pain,
A song, a smell, or just a memory.
Cherish your loved ones, young and old,
Make memories only you can hold.
Sometimes life just isn’t fair,
And we feel like we just can’t bare.
We just smile and pretend to be ok,
But inside we are really broken.

Why Don’t They Care? By: Cierra Rembert
Inspired By:
“Untitled”

Why are there still bullets flying through the air?
I want to state this more clear,
I said why are there bullets still flying through the air?
Why don’t they care?
They want to take the breath out of my chest.
And put me in a chair,
They want to take my life.
Because they are having a gang affair,
But there are also people that want to take my life,
Because my skin color is not theirs.
We don’t want to go back to the past,
And smell dead bodies in the air.
But I don’t think it’s fair,
For an innocent person to get hit by a thing,
As quick as finger snap,
But as loud as a snare,
Why can’t I walk into a certain neighborhood?
Without getting a mean stare?
But I just want to tell you people what I’ve seen,
And what I hear,
But I also want to clear.
All of the negativity on this earth that we bare,
That you and I share.

Truth and Lies By: Stephen Yusko

Inspired By:
“Truth and Lies”

Truth is the path to live a happy fate.
Lies lead the way to the Nether gate.

Truth brings happiness to the heart.
Lies leave sadness and tear it apart.

Truth gives light and helps you thrive.
Lies are regret and emptiness inside.

Truth is courage to make things right.
Lies deprive your thoughts and flood your mind.

Truth unites us together as one.
Lies destroy all that you love

Truth is the brush that keeps you clean.
Lies are the cavities that turn you green.

Truth is the sun shining bright with pride.
Lies are the dark and the cold of night
